What is a hyperbaric chamber?

A hyperbaric chamber is an enclosed space about the size of a queen bed. When the chamber is sealed, pressure inside the room builds to a certain therapeutic level. The pressure forces your body to use oxygen more efficiently. When your body is given this high dose of pure oxygen, there are many healing benefits. We like to think of hyperbaric as “hyperhealing” – it speeds up healing for just about everything.

What does it treat?

What to Expect

On your first treatment in our hyperbaric chamber, you will be given your own, new oxygen mask. As you make yourself comfortable in the chamber, our staff will secure the door and begin the pressure. You will breathe in pure oxygen as the chamber pressurizes. There is some noise at this point of treatment, but rest assured that you are safe and the chamber is functioning properly. Most people feel very relaxed and will sleep during their session.

After an hour, the space will begin to depressurize and staff will be alerted to help you safely out of the chamber. If at any time you feel uncomfortable, there is an emergency shut off switch and you are able to alert our front desk and they will assist you in opening the chamber to let you out. We will save and label your oxygen mask for subsequent uses.
