What is Ozone Therapy?
Ozone therapy is an infusion treatment that has been around for almost 200 years, and has recently become more well-known in treating a wide variety of ailments. Ozone therapy strengthens your immune system to fight infections and also boosts brain function and improves energy.
Ozone is a concentrated, natural form of oxygen. The oxygen we breathe in has two oxygen atoms, while ozone has three. When medical-grade ozone is given intravenously, the level of oxygen in your bloodstream increases, which allows your body to take the oxygen and use it more effectively. Your body naturally uses oxygen to “burn up” diseased cells. But when your body is in a state of disease, this naturally occurring process slows down. By introducing concentrated oxygen, diseased cells are eradicated through your body’s own natural process.
What to Expect
During your treatment, we draw some blood and mix it with ozone in a sterile container. It is then slowly reintroduced to your body through IV infusion. Acute infections can be eradicated with 2-3 weeks of treatments. For chronic issues or as a preventative treatment, an infusion once a week for three months or longer is recommended.
We also offer ozone insufflation, in which ozone is introduced directly into the body cavity, including sinus, bladder, vagina, or rectum. Ozone insufflation for these areas of the body help the body fight infection quickly, without the need for antibiotics.
