Meet the Doctor
Allison Brumley, ND, MAc
Founder & Naturopathic Doctor
Dr. Brumley lives her passion for natural medicine in every aspect of her life. She grew up in Weber County, Utah, where she developed a love of animals, nature, and gardening. She loves spending time with her husband and family, hiking in the Utah mountains, weight lifting, and reading about, cooking and eating real food.
Dr. Allison Brumley is a board certified Naturopathic Physician and licensed acupuncturist. She received a Bachelors of Integrated Studies from Weber State University and her Naturopathic doctorate and Masters in Acupuncture from National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon.
As a physician trained in functional medicine, Dr. Brumley looks at the whole person and treats the underlying cause instead of just managing disease and symptoms. She sees health as a reflection of physical, emotional, spiritual, and energetic balances. Dr. Brumley incorporates nutrition, lifestyle, natural remedies, herbs, acupuncture and pharmaceuticals (when appropriate) in treating her patients.
Duncan Heard, ND
Dr. Duncan Heard is our resident physician. He is currently accepting appointments for new naturopathic patients as well as IV treatments.
He graduated from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, AZ. During his time there, he personally experienced issues related to chronic infections and adrenal fatigue due to prolonged levels of high stress. The impact on his physical, mental and emotional health was real and difficult to treat successfully with conventional medicine. Struggling with his own health issues and working with numerous patients who are suffering from a variety of problems has helped Dr. Heard to have sympathy and compassion for those experiencing ill health. He has been able to assist patients in recovering from acute and chronic health concerns without using pharmaceuticals.
Dr. Heard’s main treatment tool is classical homeopathy, which is a powerful system of medicine that stimulates the body to correct health imbalances. He also addresses problems of lifestyle that contribute to disease, including nutrition, physical movement, stress management, sleep, hygiene, and healthy relationships. His areas of interest are heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and hormonal issues (e.g. low testosterone) to name a few.
Dr. Heard’s goal is to become a partner in your health, rather than just be your doctor. What does that look like? It looks like you being the expert over your body and Dr. Heard being an expert in naturopathic medicine. When combined in a partnership we make a joint decision regarding your health and treatment.
Dr. Heard earned his B.S. in Nutrition Sciences from Texas A&M University. He is a member of the Homeopathic Academy of Naturopathic Physicians. He is married to a loving wife with wonderful children.
